SuperintendentDr. Karen Jones
Dr. Jones joined the Plumsted Township School District in July 2011 from the Howell Township Public Schools where she served in numerous capacities for twelve years. She was hired in 1999 as House Vice Principal for the brand new Middle School South opening.
After three years as House Vice Principal, she was promoted to Principal of Aldrich Elementary School and remained in that capacity until 2006. As Principal of Aldrich School, she was responsible for a school learning community of approximately four hundred students and 50 staff members.
In November 2006, Dr. Jones was then promoted to Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Personnel. In this position, she was responsible for approximately 7,000 students and 600 professional staff members. She oversaw all regular education programs, English as a second language, gifted and talented, remedial and professional development initiatives in the district. Additionally, she was responsible for the recruiting, hiring, training and evaluation of all professional staff.
She grew up in the Boston area and began her career as a fifth grade teacher on Cape Cod in Sandwich, Massachusetts. She also spent several years as a Vice Principal in the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School District located Southeastern Massachusetts.
Dr. Jones received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Bridgewater State College in 1988 and her Masters in Education/School Administration from Salem State College in 1994. She completed her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Johnson and Wales University in Providence Rhode Island in 2003.
Mr. Sean Gately
Mr. Gately was appointed Business Administrator/Board Secretary of Plumsted Township School District in August 2010. Prior to his current service in Plumsted, Mr. Gately served as the Business Administrator/Board Secretary in Teaneck Public Schools and Spring Lake Heights School District. Mr. Gately also served as the Director of Support Operations for the East Brunswick Public Schools and a Staff Accountant for the Paterson Public Schools. Mr. Gately earned a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Indiana University and an accounting degree from William Paterson University.
Director of Special ProjectsMrs. Colleen Gravel
Colleen Gravel began her teaching career in the Plumsted Township School District as a K-8 music teacher. When the New Egypt Middle School opened its doors in 1995, she began the first instrumental music program for the school district, and in 2001, was selected as one of our Teachers of the Year. Mrs. Gravel has been a member of Curriculum Council, a teacher facilitator, and chaired the Professional Development Committee. She earned her Bachelors degree from the University of Delaware and her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Drexel University, where she focused on instructional technology.

In June of 2012, Dr. Jeanette Baubles was appointed to serve as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the Plumsted Township School District. Prior to this position, Dr. Baubles was the Superintendent of the Mountainside School District. Among her achievements, she has been nominated as a Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society member and for Who's Who Among America's Teachers and Educators. In addition, Dr. Baubles served as a principal, vice principal, and teacher while earning her doctorate in educational leadership from Seton Hall University. She has also earned a Master of Arts in Administration and Supervision from New Jersey City University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from The College of New Jersey, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Villanova University.
Director of Special Education
Mr. Mike Donnelly
In July of 2012, Mike Donnelly was appointed as Director of Special Services for the Plumsted Township School District. After serving in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Elizabeth General Medical Center (now Trinitas), Mr. Donnelly embarked in a career in public education. He had been a school psychologist and Child Study Team member for 15 years with service from preschool through high school. He has served in a variety of leadership positions including that of Supervisor, most recently in the Lawrence Township Public Schools. He is a frequent guest lecturer in a number of graduate programs. Mr. Donnelly received his Masters in Educational Leadership from Thomas Edison State College, his Masters in School Psychology from Pace University, and his B.A. in psychology from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Principal, New Egypt High School
Mr. Eugene Mosley
Prior to becoming the principal of New Egypt High School, Mr. Mosley served as principal at Dunellen for seven years. Mr. Mosley began his administrative career as the supervisor of Social Studies, English, and World Languages at Timber Creek Regional High School in Camden County, followed by two years as vice principal and athletic director at South Amboy Middle/High School. Mr.Mosley did his undergraduate work at Seton Hall University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and a minor in history. He went on to graduate from Rutgers University, where he earned a master’s degree in educational administration.
Mr.Mosley began his career in education as a social studies teacher at Bound Brook High School. He went on to teach for six and a half years at Princeton Regional High School. In addition to his teaching duties Mr. Mosley also coached boys’ basketball for 17 years on the high school level including 10 years as a varsity head coach (five at Bound Brook and five at Princeton). He also coached baseball and softball at various points throughout his career

Mrs. Caldes was appointed Principal of New Egypt Middle School in 2007 after completing one year in the Plumsted Township School District as the Assistant Principal of New Egypt High School. Prior to coming to Plumsted, Mrs. Caldes was Principal in the Union Beach Public School District and Vice Principal in the Howell Township Public Schools. Mrs. Caldes began her career in Brick Township as an elementary school teacher. She then left Brick Township to teach and pursue professional opportunities in the Howell Township Public Schools. Mrs. Caldes has her master’s degree in administration and supervision from New Jersey City University and received her bachelor’s degree in education and psychology from Georgian Court University.

Mrs. Tara Beams
In June of 2012, Mrs. Beams was appointed as the Principal of the Dr. Gerald H. Woehr Elementary School. After a brief but successful career as a media relations specialist and public relations executive, Mrs. Beams left the corporate world for a career in education. She began her career in the Long Branch Public School District where she served as a fourth grade inclusion teacher, a middle school drama and media studies teacher and the Head Teacher for the Visual and Performing Arts Academy of the Long Branch Middle School.
In 2009, Mrs. Beams gained high school teaching experience as the media studies teacher at Sayreville War Memorial High School, where she also led professional development programs on a school and district level. Mrs. Beams is an adjunct professor at Monmouth University and is a member of the Long Branch Board of Education. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University and her Masters in Education Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix. Mrs. Beams is currently working on earning her Doctorate in e-Learning and Educational Technology.
Principal, New Egypt Primary School
Mr. Richard DeMarco
Mr. DeMarco spent ten years as a Special Education teacher at New Egypt High School. He received his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision from New Jersey City University in December of 2009. He was appointed as the Assistant Principal of New Egypt High School in October of 2010 and Assistant Principal of New Egypt Middle School in August of 2011. Mr. DeMarco also obtained a Master’s Degree in Special Education from New Jersey City University in 2005, and completed his undergraduate degree in Marketing in 1999 from Rowan University. He served as a varsity assistant coach in football, basketball, and baseball for 8 years at New Egypt High School.
