Mr. Sean Gately
Mr. Gately was appointed Business Administrator/Board Secretary of Plumsted Township School District in August 2010. Prior to his current service in Plumsted, Mr. Gately served as the Business Administrator/Board Secretary in Teaneck Public Schools and Spring Lake Heights School District. Mr. Gately also served as the Director of Support Operations for the East Brunswick Public Schools and a Staff Accountant for the Paterson Public Schools. Mr. Gately earned a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Indiana University and an accounting degree from William Paterson University.
Director of Special ProjectsMrs. Colleen Gravel
Colleen Gravel began her teaching career in the Plumsted Township School District as a K-8 music teacher. When the New Egypt Middle School opened its doors in 1995, she began the first instrumental music program for the school district, and in 2001, was selected as one of our Teachers of the Year. Mrs. Gravel has been a member of Curriculum Council, a teacher facilitator, and chaired the Professional Development Committee. She earned her Bachelors degree from the University of Delaware and her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Drexel University, where she focused on instructional technology.

Mrs. Diana MacKenzie
Mrs. MacKenzie began her teaching career as a Basic Skills
Instructor for the Ocean Township School District, which is a PreK-6 district.
Ocean Township, also known as Waretown, is located in Ocean County. In addition to teaching BSI to students in
grades 3-6, Mrs. MacKenzie taught second grade, fourth grade and fifth grade.
An interesting fact
about her is that as a fourth grade teacher, her students wrote and directed
their own opera after being trained by the Metropolitan Opera House Guild via
Stockton State College in Galloway, NJ.
In July 2003, Mrs. MacKenzie was promoted and became the Principal of
the Waretown Elementary School in Ocean Township. While in that position, Mrs. MacKenzie was
also named the district’s Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Management
Mrs. MacKenzie obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in
Elementary Education, and her two Master of Arts degrees in Elementary
Education and Educational Leadership from Georgian Court University. Mrs. MacKenzie is a certified Reading

Dr. Jessica Howland
August of 2014, Jessica Howland was appointed Director of Special Services for
the Plumsted Township School District. Dr. Howland came to the district in 2005
as a special education teacher. Prior, she had been a teacher in various
out-of-district settings for students with special needs. She earned her BA in
Psychology from Rutgers University in 1999. Jessica then pursued her Masters of
Education degree in Special Education in addition to post-Masters
certifications from The College of New Jersey. Jessica returned to Rutgers
University to earn her doctorate in Educational Administration and Supervision.
Principal, New Egypt High School
Mr. Eugene Mosley
Prior to becoming the principal of New Egypt High School, Mr. Mosley served as principal at Dunellen for seven years. Mr. Mosley began his administrative career as the supervisor of Social Studies, English, and World Languages at Timber Creek Regional High School in Camden County, followed by two years as vice principal and athletic director at South Amboy Middle/High School. Mr.Mosley did his undergraduate work at Seton Hall University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and a minor in history. He went on to graduate from Rutgers University, where he earned a master’s degree in educational administration.
Mr.Mosley began his career in education as a social studies teacher at Bound Brook High School. He went on to teach for six and a half years at Princeton Regional High School. In addition to his teaching duties Mr. Mosley also coached boys’ basketball for 17 years on the high school level including 10 years as a varsity head coach (five at Bound Brook and five at Princeton). He also coached baseball and softball at various points throughout his career.
Assistant Principal, New Egypt High School
Mrs. Sara Brogan
Sara Brogan began her teaching career at New Egypt High
School in 2003. In addition to teaching
Social Studies, she coached Field Hockey and Basketball. Mrs. Brogan spent 10 years in the classroom
and was honored with the Teacher of the Year distinction in 2012. In 2013, Mrs. Brogan transitioned to
Assistant Principal at NEHS. Mrs. Brogan
completed her undergraduate work at The College of New Jersey where she earned
a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Social Studies. Mrs. Brogan earned a Masters Degree in
Educational Leadership from Kean University.
Principal, New Egypt Middle SchoolMrs. Andrea Caldes
Mrs. Caldes was appointed Principal of New Egypt Middle School in 2007 after completing one year in the Plumsted Township School District as the Assistant Principal of New Egypt High School. Prior to coming to Plumsted, Mrs. Caldes was Principal in the Union Beach Public School District and Vice Principal in the Howell Township Public Schools. Mrs. Caldes began her career in Brick Township as an elementary school teacher. She then left Brick Township to teach and pursue professional opportunities in the Howell Township Public Schools. Mrs. Caldes has her master’s degree in administration and supervision from New Jersey City University and received her bachelor’s degree in education and psychology from Georgian Court University.
Assistant Principal, Middle School Mrs. Tara Nesbihal
In July 2013, Mrs. Nesbihal was appointed Assistant Principal of New Egypt Middle School. She began her career in education in 2000, after a successful business career where she served as a Consumer Affairs Director for a dermatological products company. Mrs. Nesbihal taught in the Howell Township Public Schools for 13 years. In addition to her teaching, she served as a Mathematics Coach and the District Mentor Program Liaison. Mrs. Nesbihal continues to provide professional development to teachers in many school districts through the Brookdale Math and Science Network. She received her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from New Jersey City University and her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Education from Georgian Court University.
Principal, Dr. Gerald H. Woehr Elementary School
Mr. Walter Therien
Mr. Therien came to Plumsted Township School District in
2014 after serving as Principal of Bay Head Elementary School for eight years.
Prior to being named Principal, he taught Math, Science, and Social Studies for
nine years to grades four through eight at Bay Head Elementary School, sixth
grade at Ocean Gate Elementary School, and supplemental kindergarten at H. and
M. Potter School in Berkley Township.
Mr. Therien received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History
and Elementary Education from Georgian Court College. Mr. Therien continued his
post graduate studies at Georgian Court University where he earned a Masters
Degree in Supervision, Administration, Curriculum Design and Development, and

Mr. Richard DeMarco
Mr. DeMarco spent ten years as a Special Education teacher at New Egypt High School. He received his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision from New Jersey City University in December of 2009. He was appointed as the Assistant Principal of New Egypt High School in October of 2010 and Assistant Principal of New Egypt Middle School in August of 2011. Mr. DeMarco also obtained a Master’s Degree in Special Education from New Jersey City University in 2005, and completed his undergraduate degree in Marketing in 1999 from Rowan University. He served as a varsity assistant coach in football, basketball, and baseball for 8 years at New Egypt High School.
